Ian was my husband and my best friend. He passed over in November of
1999, yet it still feels like yesterday and my children and I miss him terribly.
When I'm wrapped in this throw, I can feel his arms around me and take comfort
that he's here and watching over us . This is a gift to all of us, one we can
share and cherish in times of need and comfort, or a day where he is missed more
than usual. Thank you for this beautiful throw that means so much to our family.
God Bless!

This throw has been one of the best things I have ever purchased. My husband, Bill,
passed away on May 3, 2006. He was a Vietnam veteran, a police officer for 23 years,
a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. This throw has given me and our grandchildren
great comfort since his death. When they are here, they take turns wrapping up in it to
"feel" grandpa with them. And I'll admit that I do the same.

My parents eloped
at a very young age and did not have a traditional wedding. On their 50th
anniversary, my siblings and I decided to give them the formal wedding they
never had. This picture represents the 60 years they shared loving one
another. Daddy has since passed on and mother is lost without him. This throw
was the perfect gift to give her in honor of their love, and for a very special
day and memory for us all. Thank you!

I had this
throw made from a photo of my father. He was in the Engineer Corps during the
Vietnam War. Exposure to Agent Orange led to him developing cancer later in
life. During his illness, he was still a pillar of strength for the family. He
passed away in his home with us by his side. I choose to remember him as a
strong man, faithful to his family and his country. Bill-Virginia Beach, VA

More than 2,000
people paid their last respects to Gary J. Buro, a Chesterfield County policeman
who was shot May 4th, 2006 when responding to a domestic violence call. Gary,
34, had served as a U.S. Marine during the first Gulf War and was an 11-year
law-enforcement veteran. He joined the Chesterfield department in January of
2006. His name is to be inscribed on a memorial at the county government complex
that recognizes Chesterfield officers who lost their lives, and his badge number
-- 124 -- has been retired. WovenEmbrace.com is honored to provide Officer
Buro's family this Fallen Heroes Custom Woven Throw.

There are hundreds
of miles that separate my sister and I, and the visits are too few. When our
mother passed, we had to make a trip to NC, where she grew up and was to be
buried. While there, we had the rare opportunity to visit the home our
grandfather had built so many years ago, and to take this picture where we had
stood as children 50 years earlier. With both our parents gone now, she and I
are all we have left. I had the idea of taking an older photo and combining it
with the one of our trip. I love how it turned out and into a throw we both can
treasure. Linda-Tallahassee, FL

Michael travels a
lot and is gone away on business for extended periods of time. Having a throw
done with his arms opened wide was the perfect way to make sure that there was
always a hug available when one was needed. Not quite the same as a real one,
but truly a comfort and connection when he is gone. Security blankets have been
taken to a whole new level. Great gift, thank you! Fran-New York, NY

Tammy was my first
horse and while I have had other horses throughout my life, there has never been
another one quite like her. She and I shared a very special bond that
transcended a horse and owner relationship. I’ve always felt that this picture
captured everything she meant to me, and I can’t thank you enough for this
beautiful throw. I love it! Linda-Monticello, FL

It has been stated
throughout the ages, "A dog is a man's best friend." I was fortunate to have
such a friend come into my life in January 1991. He was an eight-week-old Border
Collie mix I named "Sport". I only had Sport for a short ten years before
diabetes and kidney failure claimed his life in September 2000. We shared joys,
as well as trials. My brother was diagnosed in early fall 1993 with cancer, and
he passed away January 1994. No words of sympathy or comfort from friends and
relatives helped ease the pain I was feeling. Sport was not able to understand
what had happened, but sensed something was wrong with me and would come lay his
head in my lap and look at me knowingly with those big brown eyes as if saying,
"I am here. Let me help." I was comforted more by this act than any words
spoken. Not a day goes by that I don't miss and think about my best friend.

Chester was a pound
puppy. His whole litter was at the ASPCA but he just seemed to be the one for
me. When I first got him, we went everywhere together. I was at that time in my
life when I always seemed to be on the move. Chester was right on my heels,
every step of the way. Over time, it seemed like Chester grew bigger than me.
People everywhere just loved this dog. I would see folks who had met us and they
would say, "You're the guy with Chester, aren't you?" Even though I felt like I
was in his shadow at times, that dog never wavered from me. He never stopped
loving me as much I as I loved him. Young or old, he was always ready to play. I
wish I had half as good a playmate or friend today. Chris-Minneapolis, MN

The owner of these
dogs, Barb, is a board member and volunteer for the our shelter, The Clearfield
County SPCA. We are a very small, very financially challenged (read poor) animal
shelter in rural Pennsylvania. All four of these dogs were adopted from our
shelter. Barb works tirelessly for the shelter. She volunteers her time to do
anything that needs done. She has single handedly painted five rooms in the
shelter and takes care of our food inventory which is a huge job. Barb is
retired but spends more time working for the shelter than a full time employee.
She is a source of strength and encouragement for all of the employees and all
of the board members. She is also a great friend and advocate for the animals in
our care. I wanted to give her a gift that was a token of how much we appreciate
all that she does for the animals and for us. When I saw these throws I knew
that they would be the perfect gift and it certainly was. Pam-Clearfield

When my Dad passed away September 4, 2007, it was such a shock to our
family. We all miss him very much. It is just not the same with him gone.
My parents were married 55 years. I knew their wedding anniversary on May
24 would be a emotional day for my Mom and I wanted something special to
give her. This picture of my Dad on a cruise is one of my Mom's favorites.
When my Mom received the throw she loved it!! She keeps it on her bed and
feels comforted at night. She misses my Dad so much.
It made me feel good to see her smile when she received this gift and to
know how much she loves this beautiful throw of my Dad. Diane-Cincinnati, OH
